Sell your 3D designs as printed products

3D print on demand for designers, without the printer: upload a design once, set your fee, and a portal near each buyer prints and ships every order. You are paid for each object; the buyer never gets your file.

How 3D print on demand works for designers

  1. You upload your design

STL, OBJ or ZIP. Each file becomes a part of your product; several parts can make one product.

  2. Your file stays private

It is stored on Teleport’s own server. The listing shows photos and previews, never a download.

  3. You list the product

Pick the default material, finish and color, write the description and set your Designer Fee per part.

  4. A buyer orders it

They choose the material and color they want and pay printing, shipping, Teleport’s fee and your fee together.

  5. A portal near the buyer prints it

The file goes to that printing portal only to quote and print the order.

  6. It ships, and you are paid

The buyer receives the object, usually within 7–14 days. You receive 100% of your Designer Fee after each completed order.

What you earn

You set a Designer Fee for each part of your product, and you keep all of it. The buyer pays it on top of printing, shipping and Teleport’s service fee (€1 on orders under €20, €2 from €20). Nothing is charged to upload or list a design.

What you never have to do

Own a printer

Every order is printed by a portal in the buyer’s region, on production machines, in the material the buyer picked.

Hold stock

Each object is made when it is ordered. Nothing is printed in advance, nothing sits on a shelf.

Ship parcels

The portal ships to the buyer’s door; Teleport follows the order and keeps the buyer informed.

Handle payment

The buyer pays Teleport at checkout; you receive your fee after the order is completed.

Hand over your file

The buyer gets the object. The file goes to the printing portal only to quote and print.

Where your products are made

Orders go to a network of 200+ printing portals across 95 countries, with 211 materials and 200 colors to choose from, so a buyer in Texas and a buyer in Berlin are each served by a portal near them. Delivery usually takes 7–14 days.

Who it is for

Designers whose work is their own: sculptors and character artists who do not want the model copied, engineers with a functional part worth paying for, makers with a desk object people keep asking to buy. If your buyers want the thing rather than a printing project, this is the way to sell it to them.

It is not for every design. A simple clip that a maker prints in ten minutes is better sold as a file; Selling STL files vs physical products is an honest comparison of the two.

Questions designers ask

No. Every order is printed by a portal near the buyer. You need a design file and a few photos or renders of the object.

Never. The buyer orders and receives the printed object. The file stays on Teleport’s server and goes to the printing portal only to quote and print the order.

Nothing to upload, list or keep a design on sale. The buyer pays printing, shipping and Teleport’s €1–€2 service fee on top of your Designer Fee, and you receive 100% of your fee after each completed order.

Usually 7–14 days from the order: the portal prints it, then ships it to the buyer’s door.
